Most people would probably agree that our youth today needs to be inspired to continue to reach their goals in life. If so, do you consider yourself a role model? What happens when the young people you know miss the mark and stray off his or her path? Do you take the time to talk and encourage him to do the right thing? Remember, our youth need to be inspired just like you did when you were their age. You may continue to inspire them by writing and publishing poems similar to Time Out.

Time Out

One hot day in June

sometime around noon

I saw the happiest person in the land

a student waving papers in his hand.

Grandma, Grandma look at this

I got it

I got it

he yelled out in a crowd

Its a four-year scholarship, you see

to become that doctor I want to be.

Anyone can do it, when you know what its all about

just look up to heaven and open your mouth

Hallelujah, bless my soul, I finally reached my goal

When you feel lonely and in doubt

Stop! Take a deep breath

then call for a TIMEOUT.
